The Mundane Astrology Clue

[ad][ad] Let us begin by stating that no two times will ever be equal in comparison. Too many factors vary, population size, technology and location, to name a few, to evaluate separate episodes equally. Mundane astrology techniques reflect this observation. The French event began in the 1780s, during the third phase of 1399Neptune-Pluto1892. The first result of the revolution came into being September 21, 1792, conspicuously close to a Uranus-Pluto opposition: 1710Uranus-180°-Pluto1850. Though both the events of then and now with the Arab uprisings appear under a Uranus-Pluto quadrature alignment, circumstances prove quite different. We currently live through 1965Uranus-90°-Pluto2104 under the first phase of 1893Neptune-Pluto2384. When we look at subsequent Uranus-Pluto quadrature alignments, 18211850187519021932 and 1966 however, a trend of unrest and invention becomes obvious [ad]

Parallels in History

In terms of history, comparison makes sense, especially with the advantage of hindsight. In total, the French Revolution failed, when we limit the effects to those who executed the uprising. Beyond the bloody Reign of Terror, and the large number of participants the revolution consumed, other creations like the French Republican Calendar, Assignats and Committee of Public Safety came and went quickly. But in terms of overall affect, the French Revolution remains with us. The big picture reports a complete departure from governance and culture in existence up until that point. Hardly immediately, but the change started with the French Revolution. Previous to that uprising, European, and to some extent ones all across Asia, followed the same basic structure: dynasty centered on primogeniture. Remember, Henry VIII started his series of divorces based on the need to produce the first-born male. Essentially, government and culture was a family run enterprise. Throughout 1399Neptune-Pluto1892, inklings of a nation-state began to emerge, but primary forms of power rested on the idea of dynasty and inheritance. In fact, wars France fought in the 18th Century that produced the debt carried the names War of the Spanish and Austrian Succession: they were about who ascended to the throne upon completion of a marriage contract. The French Revolution helped erase this form of choosing a government. This connection ties us to the present, because the Arab uprisings contain the same central question: how do nations pick their governments? The people in the Arab street are in the process of choosing theirs. Other parallels of note: like in France, because large portions of the population remained outside of the process, new ways of choosing require learning in real-time. The many failed attempts in France indicates the difficulty of the task.

New Government Overnight

New governments that arise from this ongoing situation will take time. The imperfect forms on other parts of the planet took decades, if not centuries to develop. The Arab world also must contend with the Muslim majorities that dominate their nations. Plus, the process, good idea or not, will entangle most, if not all, the complex alliances found throughout the region. The leading recipients of US foreign aid are Israel and Egypt; oil, of course, plays its role. From here, we see how the ultimate effect of the Arabian and French Revolutions: the changes reverberate far and wide from their original source.

We might knit that knot with our tongues that we shall never undo with our teeth.
