A History of Societies' Paradoxes
Every society faces paradox. Our lives typify paradox. Being an animal that knows it will die makes our lives ironic from birth. Every 495 year Neptune-Pluto wave contains a unique paradox. 85BCNeptune-Pluto409, coincident with the Roman Empire, constantly returned to the reality that the armies that made Rome so strong, also led to their downfall. Everyone wanted to be Roman. Rome needed soldiers to garrison its ever widening sphere. The best way to become a Roman citizen came through fighting as a Roman. Eventually, even splitting Rome in two could not help it completely manage its realms.
The last complete Neptune-Pluto wave, 1399Neptune-Pluto1892. introduced us to Progress, but as is common with each Neptune-Pluto period, the introduction came at the end of the wave, leaving the paradox for us to ponder. The midpoint of our present wave 1893Neptune-Pluto2384 appears near 2140, thus, the name Paradox2140. Midpoints always reveal the true nature of every Neptune-Pluto wave giving us a date to aim for. Until then. the plethora of topics gives us plenty to discuss.
Progress, on its own, provides enough of a paradox, but its foundation of secularism and the fact ours is the first wave where we expect, even demand Progress, adds many dimensions to this survey. Like Progress, Paradox2140:Progress will never be complete. Nor do I expect this analysis or its accompanying mindmap to contain a complete picture. You may agree with some, none or all of what I present here. But a paradox seldom offers a correct answer, but many choices.
The Interactive Part
Paradox2140 lays out the future by cataloging the present and the immediate past. Subcategories to Progress: Resources, New Morality, Science & Technology, Information Overload, Sustainability and One World all speak to issues of our time. It requires only a few minutes with a search engine to discover the many discussions, seen from all types of different positions and ideologies, surrounding these topics–no one could ever claim complete expertise in any of these categories or subcategories. But I am certain that most can add their opinion or insight on one or more of these. To add commentary or claim greater command if a topic, a reader only need become a member of this blog. Additionally, the many discussions offer the opportunity to feature links to other destinations on the web or to purchase related material. Expect reviews of all types of media, lists and howtos that encourage deeper immersion.
The Start of a Process
Paradox2140 only begins a process. As you can see in the accompanying diagrams, each Neptune-Pluto wave contains five five checkpoints, the quadrature alignments that show when one planet changes direction relative to another planet. The proportions we see with the 495 period defined by conjunctions between Neptune and Pluto are the same we see monthly, in the form of weeks (adopted from the lunar cycle); in business, through quarterly and fiscal reports; and in nature through seasons of the year. Measuring History, at its core, simply applies these same divisions to chunks of time that match the scale of history, ie., decades, centuries and (half) millenniums. Using the outer planets, that appear in the same scale as above provides a built in matrix, retrieved objectively.
This feature provides the benefit of working exactly the same across time. Every checkpoint in the diagram, which represents developments, the history, between each date, relates to every other checkpoint and to the theme of the overall wave, in the case, Progress.
A long way of saying its possible to predict the future, but Paradox2140 does more than that, as evidenced by the study’s division into the categories above. This is not Nostradamus vaguely stating the future in verse. Instead, we see a new way evaluate how the present influences the future. What we do about Sustainability determines what happens from now through 2384. The checkpoints, the quadrature alignments, provide extra means to measure progress in the categories or subcategories.
