A Mundane Astrology Update
[ad] If you failed to notice, people around the world now undergo fundamental change. This proves true of many multi-wave outer planet events. What are they? Simply, mundane (worldly) events that coincide with quadrature alignments of overlapping outer planet waves. The current type we see as the 2010–2011 t-square of Jupiter conjunct Uranus opposite Saturn, with Pluto square the opposition (diagram left). This means we see from this configuration the list of waves below:
[ad] [ad]
- 2000Jupiter-Saturn2020
- 2010Jupiter-Uranus2024
- 2007Jupiter-Pluto2020
- 1983Saturn-Pluto2020
- 1989Saturn-Uranus2032
- 1966Uranus-Pluto2104
Yes, seems much to keep track of, but does this not reflect history? Few if any historical events stem from just one cause, why should a mundane astrology analysis differ?
Think of what we now experience in 2011. Do we not see the ramifications of Hosni Muburak coming to (and staying in) power in 1981 near the beginning of 1983Saturn-Pluto2020? The choice to fund government through debt prevalent throughout the same wave? Does not the reaction in 2003 to the 2001 Saturn-Pluto opposition events echo in so many form around the globe? Cannot we feel that we are halfway through an economic cycle that began in 2000 with 2000Jupiter-Saturn2020, but also at the closing stretch of political episodes that accompanied the start of 1983Saturn-Pluto2020?
The 1960s brought in many new directions and brand new concepts: practical space travel. The Internet, wider civil rights, environmentalism, womens rights and now at the lower (opening square) of Uranus-Pluto (1966Uranus-90°-Pluto) we struggle to integrate them into our worldview.
The 1960s Example
Not all multi-wave events are t-squares. Nor are t-squares the only ones of consequence. We can state with some certainty, however, that t-squares involving the four outer planets Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto will coincide with significant events. That analysis waits for another time.
Saturn opposite Uranus-Pluto Conjunction: 1965–1966
No historian will argue that the 1960s brought discernible departure from the past. From the invention of the Internet, landing on the moon, the way Vietnam undermined trust in government to the rights women finally won, the 1960s brought so many new developments. During the heart of the decade when so much of the world turned from relative innocence to more realistic cynicism Saturn opposed the Uranus-Pluto conjunction. This brings us the following wave list:
- 1942Saturn-Uranus1989
- 1947Saturn-Pluto1982
- 1850Uranus-Pluto1965
- 1966Uranus-Pluto2104
Why two Uranus-Pluto waves? Because one wave ends as another begins. As covered in From Revolution to Protest, the roots of 1960s set down as 1850Uranus-Pluto1965 began. The feminist movement in the US began with the Seneca Falls in 1848; the abolition movement that lead to the civil rights movement also began at the same time. The marriage of capital to industry accelerated considerably at the same time, setting up the class divisions inherent to ‘60s protest on both sides of the Atlantic. The list goes on as the linked article shows.
The overall point remains. 1942Saturn-180°-Uranus1989 found the world in the midst of the rise of the US military-industrial complex; 1947Saturn-180°-Pluto1982 found the planet at the peak of the Cold War. Again, many threads of history intersected. What other form of history can diagram it like Measuring History?
