A Happy Accident

[ad]Neptune was discovered 24 September 1846, 12:04 am LMT. Neptune, known for illusion by most astrologers, gave clues perhaps for over two centuries. When finally confirmed, she rode through space almost exactly conjoined with Neptune. I went only a little cut-n-paste documentary tour around facebook, with my sudden, delayed epiphany: Over the last few months, Neptune has traveled past her point of discovery, 26° (almost 27°) Aquarius. So, technically speaking, humanity has danced one round with Neptune since confirmation of a planet. That means since discovery: Neptune saw four quadrature alignments with Uranus, 1868, 1908, 1956 and 1992; the next comes at 2040, the opening (lower) square of 90°; Neptune conjoined with Pluto once between 1892 and 1893; it’s next quadrature alignment appears in 2063 when Neptune in Gemini makes an opening square to Pluto in Pisces; including it’s initial alignment with Saturn, two have conjoined five times, with the sixth coming in 2026.

Another Happy Accident

In my discovery phase on Neptune’s year of discovery I found the following:

  • Anna_Kingsford
  • Wilhelm_Maybach
  • Charles_Stewart_Parnell
  • Alexander_Milne_Calder
  • Carrie_Nation

Each great characters, but the last , Carrie Nation, proves especially intriguing. Born 25 November 1846 in Garrat County, Kentucky, Carrie spent much of her early years raised by her father’s slaves. At 21, she married some in the end died of alcoholism a year later, after she birthed her first child, one with mental instability.
